Utility Assistance
If you provide a letter from your employer confirming your furlough status, utility companies in Maryland will not disconnect your services.
Contact Office of People’s Counsel– a public law office serving residents of Maryland and Washington, D.C., offering assistance with utility service interruption issues
Mortgage Assistance
By providing a furlough verification letter, you may be eligible to have your current month’s mortgage payment deferred to the end of the loan term without penalty.
Financial Assistance
